Guided Meditation for Anxiety

If you’ve ever experienced the racing panic and fear of anxiety, then I feel for you – it truly is an awful and frightening experience. Anxiety is on the rise, especially for women, and while medications from your GP may be of assistance for some people, many come with nasty side effects and don’t really help you learn how to cope better and respond differently to the stressors in your life.

Thankfully, mindfulness meditation has been studied a lot as a treatment for anxiety, and the results have been very positive – in fact, regular meditation has been shown to be as effective as drugs – but without the side effects! – reducing stress, anxiety and depression by 50%, and increasing energy levels by 30%.

This guided meditation I have created is one to use when you feel particularly anxious, and will help you to “turn towards” your anxiety and fear with compassion, rather than try to run away from it, because as the saying goes, what we resist, simply persists!

For best results in managing chronic anxiety, consistent, daily meditation is a must – you could try this short 10 minute stress relief meditation as a daily “maintenance” practice.

Wishing you all the best on your journey from fear to peace, and as always I LOVE hearing from you in the comments, so please share your thoughts, feedback, experiences or just say hi…
