A Guided Mindfulness Meditation to Try at Home

Feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Come back to your centre of inner peace and the present moment in this short, simple mindful meditation on the breath. It runs for about 12 minutes, so find somewhere where you won’t be disturbed, sit up straight on a chair or on the floor (use as many cushions as you want for back support, hit play & enjoy!   1. Good session. IIn my case I found the inhaling was much shorter span than the exhaling part which is odd and wonder why? Overall for a beginner it was a peaceful and restful time under your guidance. Thank you

    • Hi Jasmin, glad you felt peaceful πŸ™‚ It’s not unusual for the exhalation to be longer, in fact it is good that you are able to completely let go on the out-breath, some people struggle with that. There is a pranayama exercise where you deliberately make the exhale longer than the inhale, so sounds like you were naturally doing that! But the most important aspect of this particular meditation is to develop awareness, and it sounds like you did that, which is great πŸ™‚
